Book Daniel Curtis to Speak
Daniel Curtis is a composer, educator and speaker exploring a question that resonates with audiences across education, business and the creative industries:

Did school miss your talents?

Drawing on his experience as both a teacher and professional musician, Daniel speaks about creativity, learning and the many ways human potential can be quietly overlooked in traditional education systems.
As a composer and performer, Daniel has written for and worked in sessions with leading West End and Broadway artists. Yet his own journey into music began with a contradiction: during his school years he was told that music was not for him. That experience now sits at the heart of his work, raising an uncomfortable but important question:

How many talents pass through education unnoticed?

Through storytelling, research and real classroom experience, Daniel explores how schools shape our confidence, curiosity and identity — and why so many people discover their real strengths only after leaving formal education.

His talks combine humour, honesty and personal stories from both education and the creative industries, encouraging audiences to rethink how we recognise talent, nurture creativity and support individuals whose strengths don’t always fit neatly within traditional systems.

Academically, Daniel holds a First-Class Honours degree focused on Health & Wellbeing, a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status, a LAMDA Gold Medal in Acting (Distinction), a Level 5 TEFL Diploma and a Diploma in Counselling Skills. His work is informed by both real classroom experience and professional work in music and performance.

Daniel speaks on creativity in education, overlooked talent, confidence in learning, and the role that music, storytelling and the arts can play in helping people discover what they are capable of.
